This was written before we recorded Land of Opportunity. It's about having broken up with someone I used to live with, who was really toxic for me, but some nights now and then I would find myself, just as the song says, lost and lonely, standing at her door once more.

Unbidden mem’ries haunt my mind
Hell-bent to complicate my life
I do things I should not consider twice
Like a thief returning to the scene of a crime
Under cover of fog, by dark of night
Driven to knock on your front door
By somethin’ I saw in you one night

I wander cold November streets with the wind and the rain in my hair
Footsteps echoed in retreat down the backstreets of the life we used to share
By the spirits of the night I am drawn to your side
Though in the end I will find no comfort there

Been goin’ silently out of my mind
Out of step, out of balance, out of line
Countin’ each stone that has been cast
Till I can’t remember now who threw the last
I walk a wandrin’ line between my weakness and my strength
Fall in holes I’ve never missed before
Aimless and uncertain of the signs along the way
